MTA Vs Ely

Can someone who has done some digging advise which is a better play right now? I already own both ... MTA from a while (probably a year) and Ely very recently... At one point Ely's Mkt cap climbed higher than MTA (about 4-6 weeks back) but now MTA has climbed about 70% in last 4 weeks alone whereas ELY fell about 25% in the same time...

Happy to listen to some interesting takes and comments on this as i am looking to increase my position in Ely.

they both seem to have similar number of mines in production and a similar revenue profile.. MTA was paying a div till before covid whereas Ely has never paid one... I believe MTA will reinstate that shortly... so comments welcome..

cyanide5 - For what they are worth, some comments, as requested: I own Ely but not Metalla and it has been very good to me.  Ely I believe has better leverage at just under a buck and a half that MTA at $12 approximately. cyanide5 - You are very welcome. Ely is right at support now.  If it breaks on Monday, it could fall to the next support at $1.20 - 1.25 or so.  I doubt it will but much depends upon the action of gold and it is not uncommon for a stock which has moved as far and fast as Ely to correct half the move. If it did that, I would be a buyer because it is only a matter of time before more ...more

i agree with you. I wish i had bought Ely a long time ago... i would be sitting at extravagnt gains right now but obviously i didnt pull the trigger... no point crying over spilt milk...  its still a 210-225 mkt cap here where i have bought in so this could potentially easily double very quickly considering valuations of other royalty companies...  more royalties and a dividend would ...more

cyanide5 - It is still very early in this game, probably the first inning using a baseball analogy.  Ely has a very long way to go. I mentioned Trey Wasser was a good promoter.  Well, he is also a very good businessman and tends not to overpay for royalties while at the same constantly scanning the horizon for companies with good cash flow flying beneath the radar.  He also makes ...more
