Appears to be desperate companies trying to survive. EMH still owes ~$8M to the original owners of Verdlite so probably pressured by them. The cash has to be raised yet so the buyer is not in a position of strength either. Noteworthy is that a cannabis company is not the buyer. That speaks loudly about the state of the cannabis sector.

It's not like some sort of fire sale lol, it's $21 million, not to mention the fact that a mining company is pivoting to marijuana should actually speak highly of the marijuana sector not against it. Of course they need the money but there's barely any marijuana companies that are profitable yet but emerald still has a lot more to gain from their other ventures
