I don't believe that Emblem ever stated that they are going to buy bunk weed at $4 and sell it to Fire and Flower at $5. That's an interesting speculation though.   Emblem has certainly stated that they are exploring alternate supply routes, but have not confirmed any save for the 10% pre-sale of CBD from ICC. In terms of the edibles slant: Edibles aren't supposed to be available after October 17th 2019, the plan is for them to be available "no later than 12 months following the coming into force of the proposed legislation."

Plenty of margin available if they are going to turnaround and sell it for $15-20 to Germany and possibly soon the UK. Also, I think with the lack of distribution and available product (no edibles, etc for another year) demand is going to be seriously surpressed which will cause wholesale prices to plummet much faster than you think. You keep quoting $4/gram which is roughly what LPs are paying to

Not all LPs can get distribution, that is the point that most people seem to miss. Everyone is focused on the 20 or so public LPs with large financial resources but are forgetting about the other 80 LPs out there (and the other 500 in the queue) that don't have much access to capital nor access to distribution points. Not to mention Acnos wholesales to thousands of drug stores in Germany; Emblem could/should and probably will be selling the majority of their product there for the time being, much better margins and lots of demand.  Emblem will have access to more stores in Germany than Cronos Group does.
