Some Brain Candy

An unmanipulated market is a rational place. It follows the laws of supply and demand.
Wall Street distorts these markets by
1}faking supply (dumping shares)
2}faking demand (pumping garbage)
3}faking sentiment (posting fake comments.) (I read that somewhere) bear's repeating on cbdt.
I am in fact refering to the big banks and hedge funds, the Market Movers.
Realize this, let it really sink in!
What constitutes enough to you, financially speaking? I know from the 70's most used to say a million dollars. There was a show called the six million dollar man. It was considdered enough back then.
How many dollars are at play gobally? I dunno but I do know the MM have the ability to use your shares to Short the stock. Yep those same shares in your account. Ya they can grant themselves unlimited credit to do whatever they have to to shake you out of your $. With unlimited free play to short stock both giving and taking a % of each micro move to generate profits right down to the last dime with their and now with the addition of computer Algorythims that never stop, because thats their job thats what they get paid for, thats how they earn those bonuses thats how the world turns the weak perish and the strong survive. But I digress.
The point I'm trying to make is this is how the economy is run. Not blatant enough for the governing body to investigate. Irritatingly enought to shake you from your shares. Not much different then crime cutting into the federal coffers, A certain amount is factored in to ballance the things out, the Market Movers want their cut and they care not from where it comes. At any given moment more wealth than most can imagine is used to make still more and they have made it their goal to make more . . . From YOU!
By the way Doesn't Empower stock feel manipulated? Well it is being manipulated.
One way to control the issue is if everyone set high value sell orders on the stock they hold. If we all did this I guarantee the value would rise. like this
Sell your # shares at $100.00 for as far in the future as your allowed. Simple. G'night All

1Hornet, you have been misinformed about how shorting works.  The shares you own are your shares, they cannot be shorted.  The shorted shares come from the platform that you have your investor account with.  For example:  If you do your investing through Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and wanted to short stock XYZ then RBC would need to have picked up shares in stock XYZ and then ...more

What about naked short by institutions, they don't follow rules right?
Comment by inviolablspirit on Apr 16, 2021 7:42am
Absolutely Tankumo, I agree naked shorting does occur through some of these institutions where there are more shares being shorted than are available to short.  As we know this practice is illegal, but does continue to exist. Poor regulation and enforcement by IIROC and others continues to be a problem.  The CEO of a company should not have to spend their time firming up the company to ...more

Just to add that although naked shorting makes up a small percentage of the shorts it is nevertheless still very destructive to a stock.

Oh boy Inviolablespirit  or Mr knowitall. Of course shorting depends upon the day and the momenum and other factors on any given day it could be 5% up to 80%. but just to be clear due to your approach to assuming the position undisputed authority and holder of knowledge regarding the shorting of stock, considderring it small and inconsiquential, while trying to diss my previous post.. Try ...more

@hornet. You are the types of People why I don't go On this board much and stick the the discord group. You call out inviolablespirit for his comments and then you call names and act like in a manner that is completely rude and doesn't further any positive discussion. In our discord group you would be booted.  inviolable spirit, although I dot necessarily agree with everything they ...more

Good to hear Pilgrim, BYE. Close minded people whom criticize others post with totally false reasoning and a very rude response should stand and defend their position or admit they're mistaken, especially when proven wrong. As I have shown inviolable spirit to be with his/her critique. This member criticised my post by representing himself/herself as being more knowledgable about one point ...more

When I'm wrong I admit it. I refer to the shares sitting Idol in acounts in the bank. But here you contend this practice is unheard of??? Maybe I didn't discrbe it well enough.  A discription for you from Wikipedia -   Naked shorting, is the practice of short-selling a tradable asset of any kind without first borrowing the asset from (someone else)" thats you and your shares ...more
