What excites me the most about this deal is the lease signed at rexall location. I'm not gonna sit here and make stuff up that since the rexall partnership announcement and the months of waiting for leases I wasn't concerned. Steve and team have now lifted that weight and I look forward to more leases being signed and strengthening this partnership.

Couldn't agree more, Nutrader. But, just like it seems to be 3 steps forward, 1 step back with life during covid .....we were offered a glimpse as to the challenges running a business/company under this exact situation. For many I expect it wasn't the weight ...but the wait. The markets are fickle enough without adding this layer of uncertainty. As you intimate ....looks like relatively ...more

Definitely great news, unfortuantely with crypto and tech stocks being down that somehow translates into Empower's news being worthless according to the current stock price movement.  How ridiculous is this market and those that manipulate it? I'm sorry, if I offtend anyone that invests in crypto, but it's literally a worthless investment, or should be.  Crypto is completely ...more

I think it's strictly a market issue, Invio ....and brutal coincidence. Combine that with some wavering overall fear as inflation and covid figures are rattling a lot of chains. Unfortunately even stocks with good (or great) news and large volumes are struggling. The tragic coincidence of a solid NR on these days makes the situation ripe for day traders. In the longterm it doesn't change ...more

Theoretically, there never needs to be a loser for there to be a winner in the stock market. Over time, the overall market increases in value so if each participant sold for more than they paid, each party would be a winner. Clearly this isn't always the case but certainly there doesn't have to be a loser for every winner.

Agreed, Outlander! The point is at some point in time a stock reaches it's apex. The person who bought there can never win. It is the curse of the lack of rules on shorting that you amplify the losers for stocks that reach an apex artificially by manipulation, hype and naivety and then there are many losers (eg. SONA). I'm sure there were many who bought north of $10 to $15 and sunk far ...more

You would not have said what you did about crypto if you had invested in Dogecoin a couple of moths age I have a relative who bought $1000 dollars worth and sold out at $80000 in just a couple of months, I saw his paperwork!!! Timing is everything no matter what you invest in!!

I'm not knocking the fact that people are making money off completely virtual coins.  If you can make money off of something that doesn't exist, all the power to you.  Even the air in my hand has more value and can be measured in both mass and volume, but I'm not likely to sell it to people online for $30 000 or more per handful.  I just find it both perplexing and ...more

I too am invested in Empower and have been for a while - again I reiterate timing is everything - I could have sold at 2.40 and made a bundle but didn't - my timing was not right and so now I wait!! Anyone lucky enough to trade at the correct time deserves the spoils.  Whether you are trading in diamonds, art, stocks or crypto (all of these are a risk/reward) challenge.  If crypto is ...more

I agree with you in that I to applaud people who can convert literally nothing into cash.  At least the other things that you mentioned like diamonds and art can be seen and touched and have some real value in the real world.  And when you invest in a company's stock, you're typically investing in a product and/or service which also employs people.  Again, real value in the ...more
