Indeed this is unfortunate, NSE would have offered a great comparison benchmark, but for all intents and purposes the days of EQU as a public corporation is numbered, this company will likely be sold at the end of the review within the next 2 months. However, since we are in the subject of IPOs, Argent Energy Trust has filed for an IPO on the TSX they have assets in Texas and Oklahoma. They are ...more

Nawar, any thoughts on the AGM? Also, | hope you are right on the result of the strategic review. I wonder if the company will accept any offers in this market as potential buyers will likely try to low ball them substantially in this environment. The $18 million for half of the Mississippian assets seems cheap at $24,000 per acre? With an EV of just $265 million the review should ...more

db, the AGM was quite positive, since the review was announced there was no need for a confrontation. I spoke to the new Chairman, CEO and the Scotia bankers, they were all on board with the review; the Chairman expressed a high level of confidence that they will extract good value for our assets (he has done a good job with a similar review at Berens Energy in 2010); the Scotia representative ...more

Thanks Nawar. I to think $6 would be good particularly in this disgusting market for resource (and particularly for oil and gas) company share prices. I may load up some more. Dennis
