PLS v Wheeler River and DML

DML grades at Wheeler range quite a bit bit are something like 5-26% - very high grade. I always thought that the AMW/FCU deposit spoken of as very high grade would be in a similar range to the Wheeler deposit. To my surprise, the president of FCU was interviewed this morning on BNN and when he spoke of the grade of the PLS deposit he said that the world average grade was about 0.1% and PLS was twice as good at about 0.2%. THis gade was muuuuch lower than I expected. Is this why they never state a percentage on the grade in the NRs only that the radiometric readings are "off scale." The main benefit seems to be that the deposit is near the surface.

He was talking about average grades in the basin compared to the rest of the world.

He doesn't know what grade mean since he is an account, only know how to count money, and make a quick flip. I heard the same thing he was saying 0.2%, that is wrong. I think the Zone 0+00 should be about 0.5%-1%, the Zone 3+90 is about 2-5%.  Since no resource estimate, there is no official grades for their deposites or resources. tiger

Actually, although I don't trust Dev either, what he said is true.  To paraphrase, he said ave. grades in rest of world were .1% and .2% in Athabasca, NOT in PLS.  He can't say what ave. grades are at PLS b/c he has no 43-101.  By the way good post, as always ChattyC.  I just hope that we end up with AMW team in charge.  If they adjust their bid, great, but ...more

Patientriskyinvestor thanks, and yours as well was very well thought out for sure. This is just my opiinion, but if FCU and AMW cannot do a friendly sit-down mutual agreeable deal and then FCU makes a hostile offer to the shareholders, then the arbs will kick in and find fair value for sure of what you described and maybe with a little on top of that to make it happen. Once the deal happens ...more

Chattyc, you've been here from the begining and I respect and enjoy reading your posts.  I understand it is difficult to complain when SP is going to increase and money will be saved during consolidation by layoffs etc.  The problem is two fold in my opion: 1) Dev comes across as a pompous a$$ and this is the type of person that I believe a major could try and screw over.  ...more

@epz - I'm sorry but I have to side with Chattyc on this one.  Having AMW trade at a discount to FCU, and having both companies discounted by the market, gives the advantage to an acquirer in any take-out offer.  Drilling success will grow the resource regardless if it's held in one or two companies and a take out offer by a major will be based on an average of PLS's ...more

Stockman the top hole from DML's Wheeler River project just released 43% over 10 m for a Grade Thickness product of over 430... That hole is also 400 m deep. PLS top hole assayed is # 51 which had a GT of 348... 53m of 6.57% U308... That hole was drilled at 1/4 the depth. Wait and see what Hole 75 assays at again at 1/3 to  1/4 the depth. I think it might get to the 400 mark in terms of ...more
