SODIUM PEROXIDE = WONDERFUL ON SULPHIDE NICKEL
There's lots of literature online discussing the synthesis of nickel sulphides using sodium peroxide in specific ores that contain both - serpentine 9 olivines ) and sulphides.
Again... sodium peroxide works wonderfully on, sulphides.
But when it comes to - serpentine or olivine silicate nickels - it's a whole different story.
As i pointed out - CNC - used peroxide fusion - with NO SALT.
Why is this important ?
Because it would target the nickel that's gone into silicate solution - green colored ores.
Most olivine ores contain upto - 0.5% nicke.
Which is considerable when factoring two types of nickel in one deposit.
Sulphide nickel
Olivine nickel
Chances are.... silicate olivine nickel has converted to a salt.
And by using a salt peroxide it would only dissolve the sulphide nickel while dismissing the
saly ion nickel ( green coloration nickel )
What would be the ideal move ?
Based on former assaying press releases - peroxide fusion has defined the sulphide nickel.
All one would have to do is... test the olivines with a - plain peroxide ( no salt )
To know the values of nickel in the olivines.
Then.... combine both assay methods to arrive at a new resource calc if...
more nickel was found in the olivines.
SODIUM PEROXIDE FORMULA - ON SULPHIDE NICKEL
NiS + NaOH + H2O2 = Ni(OH)2 + Na2SO4 + H2O
Nickel converts to hydroxide
While the added sodiu in the peroxide takes on the sulphur.
THERE IS NO REAL FORMULA FOR - NICKEL SALT IN ORES...
All depends on the type of salt - and.... if oceanic waters once covered the lands long ago,
chances are... it's a chloride.
Therefore, an olivine nickel salt would most likely have a chloride bond.
And if a salt nickel is combined with a salt peroxide
There is no avail ( seat ) for hte conversion to take place.
Which is why sodium peroxide is used to extract sulphide nickel ores but not, olivine nickel.
SOLUTION -
As mentioned - using a simple - plain peroxide on the - olivines.
If any nickel is found -
combine both values of nickel.
Which reminds me....
Over the lifespan of Sudbury...
Sudbury has mined ( 8 million tonnes ) of nickel...
2 juniors in Timmins with....
CNC - 3.5 million tonnes nickel combined categories
EVNI - 2.45 million tonnes nickel combined categories -
= 6 million tonnes
And.... EVNI has only drilled 20% of their total strike - leaving much more room to expand the
resource.
I would say.... Move over Sudbury...
Here comes Timmins.
As per, testing the chemical formulas onlne....
Here's a formula calculator - as one will see, using a salt nickel with a salt peroxide
cancels out the conversion - therfore, no nickel will convert = lab would show nil.
VERSUS - using plain peroxide on nickel salt - conversion is then allowed to synthesize.

If i've errored in post,
please chime in and offer a correction.
Perhpas someone should ask the junior to perform additional nickel testing only using -
plain peroxide on the olivines.
Ya never know...
any additional nickel found might increase over al laverages by, 0.10 % - 0.20% - 0.30%
and thereby... dramatically increase our present resource size, not to mention - all the more mineral value too.
Maybe... .EVNI's next podcast or video - the interviewer could mention this...
Forward, thanks.
Cheers....
