NBSK (US$) Pricing up to $969.52/tonne, up over $2

That is the first move, albeit small, in the right direction.  That move at least confirms that NBSK demand is still pretty robust.  More and more evidence is being produced that even with the added supply that has come on the market in the past few months, demand has at least equaled those amounts.  At these rates, FBK is filling a lot of (pot) holes and should accumulating a significant amount of cash (compared to their market value and compared to the recent past) in advance of addressing their Convertible Debentures due in about 1 yr.  With little to no use of their operating line, positive cash balances and positive earnings, they will have many options when their convertibles mature, but they will likely address those issues much in advance.  Perhaps use some cash and some of their operating line?  All cash might be a bit of stretch.

Here's what gets me. Early this Summer it was widely thought that the $1,000 NBSK price couldn’t last and would drop back to the $800 range by July and drift lower after that. Even at that, FBK looked pretty good. Yet here we are still stuck at a buck and despite nearly everyone’s expectations, a full five months later NBSK prices have barely dropped below the $1,000 mark and show no ...more

Seeing as though no one else every posts here anymore, I will provide my opinion.  The fact that no one posts here and that there are very few 'views' on this board, suggests that there is very little investment 'excitement' for FBK right now.  That can change relatively quickly.  No interest = no demand = languishing share price at $1.  What is valuable to ...more

I guess that the point I was trying to make was that share price for FBK was still increasing back in the Summer even though projections were for the price of NBSK to fall back substantially by July. But here we are - five months later - with the price still strong and hovering just below the $1,000 mark.  Given this, FBK should be quite profitable if management and circumstances have ...more
