In the aftermath of the AGM, there are two very separate realities concerning this quite interesting organization.
From the latest post-AGM press release there is this view:
Said Emmanuel Manos Pavlakis, Chairman of the Media Central Board of Directors. “Despite the significant improvement in operating income we are still unprofitable and don’t have free cash flow to invest in our growth plan.” The Company advised in its presentation following the Annual General Meeting of shareholders last week that it was seeking to restructure its debt in order to have a clean Balance Sheet that would better attract investment capital to support its growth plan. The Company announced it had hired investment banking firm Foundation Markets to advise the Board on the debt restructuring and potential future capital raising to support Media Central Corp.’s future growth plans. Management believes that in the absence of restructuring its debt and raising fresh capital, the Company does not have a sustainable future.
Then again, from the so-called president of this failing enterprise you get this view:
I can’t wait to put a newsroom in the #metaverse and see how engagement with readers soars I can’t wait to put a newsroom in the #metaverse and see how engagement with readers soars Hmmm. I see this situation as something akin to a remake of the beloved movie "Mary Poppins."
Mr. Manos is just like the character of George Banks in the film, driven and disciplined, but ultimately uncomprehending that his situation is untenable, and unknowing that he is destined to be crushed by financial forces beyond his control.
Kirk, on the other hand, is exactly like madcap Uncle Albert floating around the ceiling full of mirth, singing "I Love to Laugh." And, you know, Kirk even physically resembles the late actor Ed Wynn.
So, which view is correct? Can Kirk defy the laws of gravity and continue giggling in his own reality? Will Mr. Manos come away from his meeting at the Fidelity Fiduciary Bank with some fresh cash to keep Kirk's tea party on the ceiling going? Boy, is this entertaining, or what?
