WHY DO I NEED TO TOP DRESS MY LAWN?
One of the keys to healthy lawn is a healthy soil. Good quality soil is one of the most important elements in a lawn and often is one of the most neglected. All too often, new homes are built and only a few inches of topsoil are put down over the hard compacted clay. The optimum base for topsoil is 30 centimeters. This means the soil is usually made up mostly of weathered particles of rocks and minerals and only between 1-15% organic matter.
The level of organic matter determines soil fertility.

Weed Man®’s granule top dressing is a formulation of compost that has been manipulated into a granule with no objectionable odors. Each application adds organic matter to your lawn delivering billions of microorganisms to the thatch layer. During the composting process, high temperatures are achieved which eliminates any weed seeds that had been present.
