Just a "for what it' worth" between progress reports.
I am somewhat conversant with the mining history of New Guinea since WWII. Except for a few instances, explorers have largely ignored the island until this century. Yes, there are mines on both sides of the island - two different countries - but compared to the size of the land mass, the place is largely unexplored.
If one looks at the concentrations of major mining activity in northern Australia and nearby Indonesia, it can be understood that New Guinea must also be rich in precious and base metals. So what is going on there now is tantamount to the whole island becoming one vast area play from which a "rush" may be developing. And as history shows, those who stake claims early in a "rush" are more likely to get rich.
...all in my opinion. Do you own DD.
