Often a part of any C-Suite position you have to own a percentage of your income in common shares. The idea is to have your interest aligned with shareholders. Why is it a going concern? Well it's losing money every quarter as their product is selling at a 10 year low. They have a lot of debt and no feasible way to pay it off. Yes he needs to own 3X his salary in common shares (minus DSUs) and has a certain period of time to complete those purchases. It is the decline in the DP price - to prices not seen since 2008-2009 that has created the problem.
