Chasing

Seems odd that ACB,which I've held since $5.80 is racing to buy up Cannimed in a race that they cant seem to  win and all they do is drive up the SP ....Thoughts?

I don't think ACB has to worry about buying anymore CMED shares. Has anyone taken the time to look at HIP? HIP closed at $1.51 today. CMED's offer to HIP is .033 of a CMED share. At $27 per CMED share X .033 = .90 cents. HIP closed at $1.51 so what HIP shareholder would take a 90 cent offer when their shares are trading at $1.51, NOOOOBODY! HIP has 389 million shares outstanding NOT fully ...more

What a load of BS. There was NEVER any formal offer of 4.5 shares of ACB. The $24 cap has always been present, and to suggest otherwise is dishonest. Unlike the ACB deal, the CMED-HIP deal has been mutually negotiated and was based on a formal, binding offer which both parties agreed was in the best interests of both companies, after months of discussions. There is mutual respect between the ...more

No actually; that is where YOU are incorrect. Read the statement; you will see the offer of 4.562 shares of ACB for every CMED share to a cap of $24 (a premium value at the time of offer), who knew the sector would take off that fast in a few weeks.

Drops, I know the OFFER and the only reason it was capped at $24 was because CMED did not sit at the table with ACB and work out a better offer. Nobody  takes the first offer presented. Both parties should sit at the table and work out a better deal but CMED did not do that. NO OFFER from ACB was good enough for CMED so ACB stuck with it's first and only Offer and why not. If CMED won' ...more

BS. That's the narrative that Cam Battley wants you to buy into, that ACB  nicely approached CMED out of the blue and made multiple attempts to contact CMED, to talk about how great they were and the great offer they were going to make. LOL. The truth about the timeline will come out in the information that OSC has requested by the 12th, this was an opportunistic move by ACB and was timed ...more

OK, thorgb1, I will let you have the final word, Happy New Year and enjoy your weekend.  ps. congrats on HIP, I would never have bought and Held a penny stock start up like HIP with over 385 million shares outstanding. It wouldn't even have made my Watchlist.

BS! This was a hostile attack.  Nobody goes public with the offer, giving management only three days to respond while having locked up 1/3 of the shares behind CMED's management back. Come on.  Are you serious or stupid?
Comment by VENMan on Jan 05, 2018 8:32pm
thorgb1, you're right there was NEVER any formal offer of 4.5 shares of ACB. That's why CMED's Management team should have taken the ACB offer and many phone calls made by ACB more seriously and worked on a little better deal rather than outright reject the offer. Don't play with my words and say I'm being dishonest because you know what I'm trying to get at. Look at what ...more

Read the press release FROM Aurora on November 14th 2017.  The offer is for $24 in ACB shares!  The wording of the press release is confusing because it's talks about $24 as if it's cash but the detail spell it out with some confusing market gaming from Aurora and Canaclown. 2017-11-14 19:37 ACB Aurora Cannabis Inc 6.41 News Release  ...more

There is two options that CMED shareholders can choose as per the news release CanniMed shareholders will be entitled to receive a maximum of $24 per CanniMed share or 4.52586207 Aurora shares 1) A maximum  of $24 per dollars per CMED share or 2) 4.5 ACB shares which would you choose?
Comment by VENMan on Jan 06, 2018 7:53pm
Dion, Nobody is getting $24 cash per share. What do you think ACB is going to do ask every CMED shareholder which changes by the minute if they what Cash or Shares, come on Man. CMED Shareholders will receive $24 per share MAXIUM based on the last 20 day average trading price of ACB from the date the deal closes. So When the deal closes if ACB has traded over $12 per share for 20 days CMED ...more

I have held ACB since I bought at $1.78.  I have alot of faith in Terry Booth, and I believe he and Aurora will be successful in taking Cannimed over.  I have no faith in Brent Zettl, and his actions with regard to the takeover bid have only been in an effort to secure his position, not what is in the best interest of the shareholders.  Cannimed stock price is inflated because of ...more
