Lets consider the 20 day moving average of CMED and HIP after all that's what ACB looked at when they made the first offer. 20 Day Moving Average for CMED $25.11, 20 Day moving average for HIP $1.26. A 50% premium over the 20 moving average for CMED $37.67, for HIP $57.29. The problem ACB is going to have is to try and convince CMED/HIP that without ACB they can't get to a $2 Billion ...more

CMED/HIP hasn't been voted by CMED shareholders yet and may not get the votes needed to complete the CMED/HIP deal which makes your calculations not quite true for current negotiations between CMED/AURORA.  I believe they will hold 2 different talks.  One for CMED/AURORA and one for CMED/HIP/AURORA.

@mrsebastiancoss, That's a very good point. You're right CMED still need to vote for the HIP deal and if CMED don't have the votes then ACB has the upper hand. My bad, ALL IMO!

Do you think ACB has enough money to buy both CMED and HIP?  If HIP is left out of the equation, Canopy Growth will come and gobble them up and ACB will sit in the same place.  If ACB takes both CMED and HIP, it could eventually claim the top spot.  If they can afford it, they MUST buy both.

@PotLucky, I agree with you. CMED and HIP are now ONE. I think ACB would love to just take CMED, not that HIP has no value but just because they can't afford to buy both. CMED/HIP will not seperate. I think they will walk away from ACB before they break up. CMED/HIP know they will be a major force in Canada and they can get to $2 Billion on their own. CMED has 700 plus pharma stores that ACB ...more

@PotLucky, My bad CMED and HIP are not One just yet because CMED Shareholders have not voted for that deal yet. This is so confusing. CMED is taking to ACB before they vote on the CMED HIP merge. ALL IMO!!

Read up.  HIP has a legal supply agreement with CMED. So even if they don't merge, they are tied from a facility and production perspective.   The only thing they don't have is the "UP Cannabis" and Tragically Hip thing which they don't really need if they have Aurora.  Aurora has its own brand and steamrolling marketing plan...
