I've never jumped in the pool thinking I would be drowning. I would always check depth to see how deep or how swallow the pool was.  You can drown if too deep and if you can swim. Or you can break your neck if it's too shallow. I suggest everyone does the same on CMED. It's clear to me the upsides are far greater than downsides.  The only question is how cheap can you get
