The very thought of Carbon replacing Copper
would send shivers down every copper miners back.
Electron movement in ( metals ) has far more resistence than,
Electron flow in Carbon, Carbon Fibers.
CARBON
Lighter ( better for, vehicles, ev's, planes, EVTOL's vehicles etc... )
Carbon can produce electricity in magnetic fields ( magnets )
= Electric Motors
The more i research Carbon,
more i realize it's importance of superior conductivity ----------> many end uses.
Carbon found in oil, coal, graphite deposits are completely different than
it's other combustable gaseous form CO2.
I implore others to take a peek at this research paper.
Carbon Fiber, Carbon Nanotubes top the chart - highest conductivity.
Copper has added silver to assist, yet..... comes nowhere close to Carbon's superiority.
The implications of Carbon Fibers ( if ever ) replacing copper would be,
beyond enormous.
Hence.... focalizing on Carbon could prove wise.
Far more markets to cater too.
An opinion.
Perfect Carbon Fiber - scale up - low cost... watch out copper.

Electron flow through Metal = resistivity.
If Carbon allows free electron flow....
would we have to rewrite the physical laws of current ------> electricity ?
Electricity + Resistivity is so ------> engrained in our minds.
What if carbon fiber was only ( ever used ) for -------> power lines ?
Fast forward.... scientists decide to compare metal wires and electron flow / resistivity ?
Would scientists say, metal is inferior.... too much resistence ?
Wink.
