A quick update - a few topics

Hi guys - here is a brief update on a couple of things:
  • Tangier - limited work being done, but enough to keep the property lease in proper standing. Some in / near mine grab sampling and some of the enviro work that is necessary, but not much else.
  • Dufferin - stopes and mill have been repaired / brought into pretty good condition. An active geological team is required to get the project ready to move forward. While mining they ran into a couple of instances where the gold-bearing ore was expected and was simply not found. So the original understanding of the continuity and structure of the halos is not exactly what was expected. They continued to discover / uncover proper gold-bearing ore, but there will be additional work needed to better define "the mine" in order to move to full production at the expected levels - hence the increased financial requirement.
  • Market - the board has been meeting the last couple of days and interestingly enough in direct parallel with the significantly increased volume at reduced share prices. This suggests to me (and I have floated this before) that these shares are being positioned into barely arms length hands and that the sellers will be covering their costs of replacement by taking part in a low cost financing. I personally believe a 5 for 1 with an effective resultant share price of about 10 cents and a financing at 9 cents again would make sense and the participants would acquire additional warrants in the process as well. There are other options than just this consolidation process, but it is looking more and more likely based on what I see on the market.
  • Financing - Damien is not entirely accurate or forthcoming with his assessment of the company's response to his / his groups offer to take part in a financing. The offer was actually well received and indications are that they appreciate the offer; the response was that when the company is ready to proceed  they will reach out. We will have to wait and see if that comes about, but right now they simply are not ready.
Salut,
Leigh McBain

Thanks for the update Mr.Icmbain quality post on RCG again.Forgive me for changing the subject a bit but have you ever looked at McEwen Mining and its CEO Rob McEwen if so can you share your view on MUX??? And would it be practical to do a sharing of a MUX discussion along with RCG ??

I have never looked at MUX in any serious manner, that is no reflection on them, they have just never really shown up on my radar. There are a couple of mining plays I follow fairly closely, with the primary ones right now being RCG (more because of my history with the company - going back to to when it was Golden Peaks), SKP (newer follow - nice projects - gold in BC / Yukon and silver in BC ...more

Geat response Mr,Icmbain your professional engagement is really appreciated ,I quickly checked out your suggestions the one that got me very interested other than RCG is SKP looks like a good choice I see Sprott likes it also he owns around 10% and the share structure looks good with a nicely balanced ownership base.I think I may take a small position into SKP also. I got a personal question to ...more

Hi lockdown - I do own a position in RCG and have been following it for a very long time. I continue to follow because of my continued holdings, to a large degree, but am also looking to potentially add to my holdings. I believe there is potential in the ground here, the hiccup is that alone doesn't guarantee success. The lack of transparency, the significant dilution, the lack of a true CEO, ...more

I am waiting to see how they pull themselves out of the hole as well before then getting out. Have been treated too poorly by management here to consider adding more again though. They would have to do a very fair raise with a clear achievable plan to consider otherwise. Also a new CEO preferably from outside. I think the ground is still promising as well and it is a shame RCG was allowed to get ...more
