Reason for split

Do others think the split is to isolate the Russian props and sell to the Chinese? I have become quite cynical and pessimistic during this lowly stretch and have no confidence whatsoever that I will ever get my money back (I too bought in mid-teens up to 20). I see a lot of activity with the company and a game plan emerging, but I am unable to assess whether or not that means we go to 20 or we go up to 10 for a while and then back to 3. I don't want to be pessimistic but this hasn't exactly been the dream stock. I'm afraid to get my hopes up again just to be let down so I wonder if this is the real deal or anything to cheer about Maybe somebody heard something further from GCO about their intentions with the split? ie perhaps sale on their mind

I'm also wondering why IMHL would take shares in GCO in lieu of their loan - why would someone do this unless they thought they could make more profit so is this another vote of confidence? Maybe I'm reading too much into it. Upon the approval of the Transaction, Global Cobalt shareholders will be asked to vote to allow for the conversion of the loan by IMHL to Global Cobalt dated July ...more

Its pretty obvious IMHL wants nothing to do with the North American properties and I can understand why they only want to concentrate on Karakul as it is a monster property. IMHL will convert the loan to shares and become the major shareholders. I'm guessing they have a plan that involves the Chinese.

There are indeed but come May 7th or so getting 2 for the price of 1 will most likely be over. As deals go this one really is potentially quite positive for us shareholders and I have once more increased my position and while I will not on split day be a 1 million share owner over the 2 companies I will be darn close.

I'm kinda late to the party, but have been slowly accumulating since the beginning of the week. Like what I am seeing develop and if mm continues to hold sp down, I'll probably be in for a few more. I don't expect to have the numbers that some on this board have had a chance to add up, but heck, I'm okay with that. Looking forward to May. AF

. . . . . . and as a shareholder of record . . . . . .  assuming you are come the day of judgement . . . .  you get to be a partner with IMHL in Karakul and Global Cobalt in North America . . . . . not to mention the impact upcoming news not related to this commercial issue will have on the value of the divided stock involved. Frankly I am surprised that this is still trading where ...more
