Comment by ToadyToadman on Mar 27, 2018 10:08am
A quick web search 1) Twitter handle for Novocarbon created June 2017 2) WHOIS on novocarbon.com shows domain registered March 23 2017 That's all I got. The mystery deepens GLTA DYODD

Look at who is running the company.
Comment by OrsonModesto on Mar 27, 2018 10:34am
Same people, minus Gorman. Same business plan, same addresses, same partnerships, heck, almost the entire website is copied from GLK's. Everything is the same, except it is a private company. It appears to me that they are going to take GLK private.
Comment by Aidan001 on Mar 27, 2018 10:59am
So does that mean shareholders will get a buy out...? How much though, I'm guessing not by much.
Comment by bullmoose1984 on Mar 27, 2018 12:37pm
maybe they are getting it up and running for name change and designation maybe this is new name plus all these guys are share holders .let's hope
Comment by settoretire on Mar 27, 2018 2:39pm
Private means just that. Private I doubt they could go private without disclosing greater than a 10% ownership by the predomanant players. Regardless, in order for a SH to get anything out of a company going public to private, they would have to create a shell company to transfer the existing shares to, otherwise nada. Shares will be worth nothing. Happened to me once before. Shell company is ...more

Shareholders have paid for a lot of what they have now although it may not have much monetary value the company has valuable experience.  This will be interesting.
Comment by Dadou on Mar 27, 2018 3:02pm
As to speculate... Paul Gorman is the new administrator of Friends of GLK (Facebook).  There was a notification about that last week. Paul Ferguson ?
Comment by Rechnerhand on Mar 27, 2018 2:03pm
What the heck is going there? Business model to generate revenue stream besides GLK without SH's?
Comment by Aidan001 on Mar 27, 2018 2:28pm
Maybe it’s a way out of the lawsuit?
Comment by CanThisBeTrue on Mar 27, 2018 3:04pm
Aidan001, The lawsuit is ancient history.
Comment by bullmoose1984 on Mar 27, 2018 6:47pm
So maybe they are setting this company to be the name change and  new designation ,I would hope it's not that easy to shaft investors . Maybe we all should email Paul ferguson and Gorman see if they can shed light if I get papers to vote I'm voting in favour of what they want.name change etc.because if it doesn't go through then they close the shop because legally it has to be ...more

The NR states “Proposed corporate name change to New Energy Metals & Minerals Inc.”
Comment by OrsonModesto on Mar 27, 2018 7:32pm
The rest of the the sentence - “or such other name as the Board determines is appropriate and which all applicable regulatory authorities accept (the Name Change).”
Comment by bullmoose1984 on Mar 27, 2018 8:06pm
That's how I read it to they have to be ahead of the game so all this falls into place at the right time ,think about it !
Comment by Aidan001 on Mar 27, 2018 9:58pm
I hope you're right!

Interesting.  Novocarbon started their twitter account about a year ago.  It's not a new entity.  However they had their first tweet in months on March 22 which is a week after the last tweet from GLK.  Have no idea what's going on though...  :)
Comment by ogieboogeyman on Mar 28, 2018 7:32am
can you share that idea:) BOO
Comment by Onehorsetown on Mar 28, 2018 3:47am
and like i said and i will say it again.... i smell a big stinky Ferguson / Gorman fish here!!!
Comment by Floridas2000 on Mar 28, 2018 7:49am
I emailed Paul and got no response which is unusual.  I usually a response back within a day so their purposely being quiet.  Maybe they have to be...  Did anyone else try? We will find out eventually so it does not help to guess for either the good or the bad.
Comment by ogieboogeyman on Mar 28, 2018 7:53am
I emailed a few time since Paul usually responds pretty quickly...so ya..unusual unless I irritated him with stupid questions:) BOO

I think there are some important facts that need to be considered here: 1) The annual financial statements are on sedar and the auditors were MNP. They work for the shareholders. 2) There is nothing in these statements to indicate any ownership or agreement between GLK and Novocarbon.  3) All partnerships and agreements are listed in the financial statements, for example the DNI ...more

Good comments. I know that it is just a guessing game at this point, since we have little to go off of. My guess at privatization could be completely wrong and Novo is just the new company which is already in motion. The NR did state "The change of business to be proposed (the Proposed COB) is consistent with the evolution of GLKs business model to leverage the capabilities developed for ...more

Yes, GLK had booth 1529 last year. Novo has booth 1529 this year. https://www.expocad.com/host/fx/ubmcanon/novi18/exfx.html#exhibitors

I don't believe they will go private because Paul's family invested money in the company and if we lose money then they will lose money.  Also they had a PP last year, those guys would want their money.  If they go private someone will need to buy the company and make it private and we would have to agree to it.   So they are working on something else and it sounds ...more

Paul has always been quick to respond and was always positive about the future. The latest contact right after the halt was "We are on a tear, imo. Lots and lots of stuff coming right behind this. I think you will like what you see next." I have always put my trust in Paul (Ferguson) as he always seemed positive and honest. Based on this I expect good things to come.
Comment by Floridas2000 on Mar 28, 2018 12:47pm
I also believe Mr. Ferguson is genuine in his claims.  A little confused on why the market doesn't understand what great strides GLK are making and I am confused as well.  That's why I will wait and see because the news is most likely phenomenal.
Comment by Rechnerhand on Mar 28, 2018 2:01pm
Fact is ... there are 3 persons who are officially named on the novocarbon page and are still engaged for GLK Fact is ... Novocarbon is providing an almost the same supply chain as GLK is doing (pics included). Fact is ... Sales&Marketing of GLK has the same address like Novocarbon Corporate Office. Further facts follow ...

like Paul said " we are on a tear, lot's of good stuff to come." This sounds very positive to me. I'm very confident we are getting way more than a name change. More than a product improvement ? A co-op with graphite experts , maybe nano ? I just hope we find-out soon. Cheers.

I think the otc in the states will drive the value and of coarse if news is great we will wanna fatten up our accts no info through emails twitter etc they want this to go off legal and prosperous ,I got a few gray hairs off this site in the last few days . Hope that mad attack is done with .lets look forward to the future these guys wanna be in there fast and hard.

The last press release with Paul Ferguson's name is November 20, 2017. On all subsequent press releases his name is absent. Has anyone talked to Paul Gorman or Susan Murphy their current contacts on the press releases?
Comment by Floridas2000 on Mar 29, 2018 9:11am
Paul Ferguson is definitely still there.  He's involved in what they are doing now.
Comment by OrsonModesto on Mar 29, 2018 9:14am
That also happens to be the PR when they closed the $2 million funding with F2 Capital. F2 Capital is Frank Ferguson, Paul's father. Why would Frank invest $2 million (on top of the other millions he has invested) in GLK if Paul was leaving? Just food for thought...
Comment by Ramore1 on Mar 29, 2018 1:16pm
I agree with you. Paul has so much invested in GLK.
Comment by iamburt2 on Mar 28, 2018 10:27am

I think I was actually researching more into the Gershon, the CSO, and came across the website. But also noticed Paul F. and Mike C. had listed they worked for Novo on their LinkedIn accounts.
Comment by comos30 on Apr 12, 2018 4:08pm
This is from their post on LinkedIn: NovoCarbon, Inc. is a privately held company, incorporated as a C corporation in the State of Delaware and a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Lakes Graphite Inc.
Comment by OrsonModesto on Apr 12, 2018 4:37pm
"and a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Lakes Graphite Inc." - This has been recently added, which adds some clarity.
Comment by Rechnerhand on Apr 16, 2018 3:33pm
Distribution channel Graphene 3D Lab (GGG.v) partners with GLK and I guess they were inspiring GLK for starting wholly owned subsidiaries. GrapheneSupermarkets, ChemApproach, BlackMagic3D ... all of them wholly owned subsidiaries of GGG.
