No effort to change name

Keeptryingok

Thanks for your post of April 29. The following indicates there is no effort to change the name.

"Name Change
Recent disclosure documents from Great Lakes indicate the company's name still remains the same but they are doing business as NovoCarbon. I was not able to see a news release indicating they have taken any steps to change their name, which would include filing a "Change in Corporate Structure" notice on the System for Electronic Document Analysis and Retrieval (SEDAR).

Reporting issuers are required to file disclosure documents (i.e. news releases, financial reports) through SEDAR. In order to view these filings, and thus keep up-to-date with any announcements regarding a name change:
Start by clicking "Issuer Profiles" from the homepage (https://sedar.com/homepage_en.htm) at the top of the page
Then you can then select the letter that the company starts with under "Companies" and scroll through the list until you see the name of the company you're looking for
Once you've reached the Great Lakes Graphite Inc. page, you can select "View this company's documents" to see their latest filings

If you have any questions about the information provided above, please give me a call at the number below.

Sincerely,

Just frustrated blowing off some steam. My previous post was meant to show SRG made application for name change on 26 June and the name was changed via sedar on July 3rd. Sure would be nice to see some progress. Their only response is that they cannot divulge any information and they're working on it........for some time now. cheers

It's not just a name change that's going on.  It's a reclassification of business away from being a mining company to a manufacturing company.  The index wants to avoid shell company.  Plus the financials had questions surrounding it and there were complaints registered from other companies.  They have a laundry list to work on before trading can begin again.  ...more

Yes  I understand there is more going on and I don't want to nit pick but I believe they announced the name change in April of 2018....long before any of these other issues. I have received responses from the company indicating that they are working on solutions and our patience should be rewarded but what is the BIG secret that does not allow them to update and inform their shareholders ...more

It is taking too long and they won't say anything because they can't right now.  But it's not impossible to dig and read the tea leaves. In terms of investment, I have other investments that are also on hold.  In each case, I sort of know what's going on behind the scenes so I'm not overly worried but each case they have said very little in terms of announcements ...more

Florida  No offence, but name me one Company on the VSE that is/was in default on filing their financials that has not been demoted to the cse board. Look. I want Novo to succeed as much as anyone, but historical facts are not in their favour. With the share structure as it is, privatizing is the only way they survive. Sucks the big one for the rest of us, but business is business. Startups ...more

Well said I agree with you. They will have to go to the CSE. They are in a real disconnect with Novocarbon tweeting up a storm trying to add as many followers as possible. I have had no takers for my offer of a cross trade with anyone using Itrade. Pretty much a complete loss I wish Novocarbon would come to terms with all the Tweets as its not so rosey for their investors.

1. To be clear I have no emotional attachment to this or any stock.  I respect Mr. Ferguson for the effort he has put in to make this work.  That I will admit.  GLK is my graphite play in the Lithium battery space.  It's the furthest along to selling graphite at a high volume.  It's one of the few companies actually progressing, just not nearly as quickly as I ...more

Well said Floridas , I'm wondering how many people would have sold their shares if this halt didn't happen ? Have they / we learned more about the graphite business since the halt ? Like you said , there is not one company running- away from the field , most are struggling . It's a tough nut to crack. NovoCarbon is a more advanced company than 2 years ago , as far as being a supplier ...more

Wow great post Florida’s I really enjoy your posts and agree stock house has  a reputation not by there choice by any means it’s defiantly an open site and I don’t enjoy reading the negative every time I check out posts . Most of the really strong negative people on here and on other blogs are people who say buy a new car do no research and spend the rest of there days complaining about ...more

Tower One.

Florida  Tower One satisfied their financials. They were halted pending a 3rd party receipt portion. Once received, they went back trading. They were never in default. GLK/NOVO are in default. Apples vs Oranges
