Q2 Results coming

I am wondering what Q2 will bring in the way of results. Anyone have any insight? I am hoping to see the return of good numbers for the Retail Division. If not, then we are looking at three straight quarters of missing the predictions and that would push the organization from explaining a quarterly anomoly to a traceable downward trend.  I heard a rumour that GT sold their entire VSAT business to Infosat in Q2. Can anyone confirm? I also see on their website that they are searching for a Director of Operations for the Business Division. Not sure why there is so much management required for a division that consitantly loses money. Seems like alot of management layers for such a small entity. Looks to me like GT are trying to find homes for all of the ex Telus staff that giot let go in their recent round of cuts. The challenge will be the same as it has been for years. Apart from Regional Management, all of the executives are in Burnaby. Add one for and you will have VP, GM and Director of Operations all in a remote location that actually conducts no business. Couple that with the fact that regional decision making authority does not exist, I think we will see a few more quarters of losses in the Business Division and then yet another round of restructuring.

i was waiting for it to retrace back to the 12 area where it poped back to after the latest cascade down in share price. as far as how the next q would look, i would expect management has been busy finding costs that can be stripped out of all divisions as the cost pressure from the carriers is not likely to abate. tighten up the stop loss orders if it doesn't hold here; 7 ...more
