Why is GME keep going up?
Can someone please explain why GME keeps going up. The short interest is around 15%, meaning 15% of the shares are shorted.
So, let's say, the shorts have to cover, and therefore have to buy back the shares at whatever cost, hence GME goes up .
But what happens after all the shorts have covered? Only the longs remain (all Reddit members?). The share price should therefore just sit there doing nothing, unless these Reddit guys keep on buying? Or, unless there are still hedge funds keep shorting?
so is it:
1) more hedge funds keep shorting, or
2) Redditt keeps buying
???

15% is likely wrong by about 120%
