Graphene Manufacturing Group (TSXV: GMG) has commissioned its graphene aluminum-ion batteries (G+AI) in pouch cell format and has announced that its first battery pouch cells have been successfully manufactured.
Much of the interest from prospective customers lies in $GMG.v’s ability to productize the cell pouch. Cell pouch batteries can be found in a large range of end products, ranging from personal and industrial appliances, to grid batteries and EVs.
The increased energy density of G+AI batteries presents massive potential for the storage of energy produced through clean/renewable methods. The renewable energy industry is expected to see significant growth in the coming years. With that, $GMG.v’s continued innovation in the field of energy storage is sure to see them grow at an equally swift rate.
This development has me really excited to watch $GMG.v in the coming months. I expect we could see some really impressive sales reports should the company get its pouch cell batteries to market.
$GMG.v is up 18% this week trading at $3.08, currently valued at $242.6 million.
