GMN has bought back 13 m shares since 2012

I was in the stock in 2012 and several times after that.
Nice share buybacks and regular dividend of  1 cent per year.

So, how beneficial are share buybacks to insiders ?
Quickly....13 m **0.40 = $5 million cost.

13 m ** 2.60 = $33.5 million current value.

There are of course diminishing returns to a buyback when the float not controlled by the two insiders is only 4 or 5 million shares.    It's going to get harder and take longer to buyback any shares thru an issuer Bid as time goes on.  Nozzpack,  I would say to you lets not run away from Canada and the TSX and go use the $80M or so US in Cash to buy a stake in Aimia.  ...more

 Yes of course but they currently have NCIB to purchase up to 2,459,749 common shares. So, they are still  intent on reducing by significant amounts the remaining 4 m or so of non insiders. As continueing to remove almost all remaining non insiders essentially means virtually no public trading for GMN, a public listing is redundant and wasteful This convinces me  that going ...more

Gobimin going private is my guess too...it might still take some time though, but happy to wait... currently interested how they are going to use that extra cash

MSV is a good one.    Company has gone no where for years and years.   Trading below the value of it's cash and securities.    Has two projects in China.   I have no idea if they have any value.   Perhaps Felipe Tan has an idea or knows mining people in China that could help him evaluate the "opportunity". Africa oil looks good, haven't looked into their statements closely though... I already invested in othe oil companies here in Canada, Brazil and Spain... will check this company too... though I see the share price was close to just 1 CAD not so long ago
