Rumour on another board.......

Folks the following is TOTALLY unsubstantiated. I read on the CGC board, a tiny gold producer that I picked up today that WGI may pick it up. I don't see it happening because the mining property is in Mexico. WGI prides itself on being in a safe and secure area. I don't know if CGC will fit the bill. I just found it funny that WGI is being mentioned as the company buying up and opposed to being bought out. Regardless, I like small/tiny gold producers generally and will entertain any other gold producing plays anyone can suggest. Cheers and best of luck all!!

I recommend for a gold play that I bought KXL

Thanks for the tips. I did a bit of DD on both firms. KXL is not a pure play. They have uranium, and other metals on top of their gold plays. They are not as levered to the price of gold as WGI or CGC. As for RCT, it's a small operation albeit having much higher grades than WGI or CGC. The RCT market cap is close to CGC but their size and the troubles they are having trying to hit 200t/day ...more

No I didn't but I did look at it. I could kick myself but then again, I'd beat myself silly everytime I missed an opportunity. My two gold plays now are WGI.to and CGC.to. Both are open pits and both managements know what they're doing. My favourite though, is still WGI. They have roughly 4 times more reserves and have yet to start producing so the producing multiple has yet to ...more

Then you should have gone with DGC on T also open pit and right at home so no foreign rick. This baby is a fantastic investment but little volume not intended for quick flips. Speaking about volume, look at the volume of WGI today.....What's with that?

Thanks for the tip. I looked at it just now and it looks pretty good. I like this part of the most recent release: With 75% of Phase I drill results now released, Detour Gold is confident in significantly expanding the September 2006 near-surface resource of 1.4 million ounces in the indicated category (20.0 million tonnes grading 2.14 g/t) and 2.0 million ounces of gold in the inferred ...more
