Takeover

I agree with Shortusa, a takeover seems inevitable. Would you care to speculate at what price it would eventually go under the hammer?Nd what time frame would you think?

If there are companies looking at possibly acquiring WGI they will be paying very close attention to the first quarter of full production (and so will I) to get an idea of what their margins are likely to be.   After that its just a matter of putting a reasonable value on the ounces in the ground, divided by the number of shares outstanding.  Couldn't say ...more

I think you oversimplify the valuation Short. You have to factor in the cost of getting the ore out of the ground.    Also, I think that as the price of gold increases so does the likelihood of political threats. By this I mean that unstable foreign governments - who were happy to have mining companies come in a prospect, become resentful when they see the results grow.  & ...more

I think you should have read my posts again before responding.   I said exactly what you just said.  We don't disagree.   We need to see margins before a valuation can be determined.  Once these are known, a valuation can be put on the ounces.   I also pointed out the geographic/political advantage we have with the location of mine.   This ...more
