BNN mentions WGI

A guest pundit (can't remember who) on Business News Network said Western was a good bet for a tajkeout. He also said good management and that he expects the SP to be aroung $3.00.
  BMO Week In Review for August 22 also gave a target of $3.75, so it seems a bit of a no-brainer. I bought some more anyway and feel happier here than in some of the stuff thats around.

Sure... it could be/should be worth $3But are you concerned that managment will try to cook up a deal to buy it's next mine.They have said all along that this "high powered managment team did not sign on just to run this little mine"My concern, and I have a sizable position (for me), is that they will not wait for the stock to reach it's fair value.One day out of the blue we ...more

Share dilution is okay as long as the money is spent buying a mine at fair value.  You have to give existing management the respect they have earned to expect that to happen.This is a large holding for me and I feel pretty good about it.latergeno

Here's my 2 cents on WGI, and not the stock price.  WGI, I believe, has a very conservative management team that is efficient and so far has delivered on their promises.  Only recently, they projected that WGI would become cash flow positive, and just this past July we saw that happen.  WGI also said that they were planning on ramping up production between 20-30K of gold, and ...more

007...In general, I would agree with your post, however, I do believe management did let shareholders down in the first half of the year when they completely missed production targets for the first few quarters. So as far as delivering on promises this year, they're a bit off the mark. That said, the turn around has commenced and I would expect that any promises they make going ...more
