New Gold and WGI = Rip Off

I posted a while back this was coming and here it is.  I know many thought I was sniffing glue when I said a 1 for 1 stock exchange, but whatever, that doesn't really matter.  That was when NGD was at $3+.  Well it's even worse today -- far worse.

I'm quite pi$$ed at this deal!  I really didn't think that WGI would be taken out at below $3, but it will be.  Only hope now is that NGD rallies and I don't see that to be likely before this deal occurs. 

I really must be missing something in this deal cause I really don't get it???

I concur, NGD is a strange ammalgamation of mines and operations all around the world with no cost saving synergies.  Their stock price is way off from the peak and their marginal cost of production is quite high.  Was hoping that WGI would merge with ANV, that would be a great combo.  Remember, there is an $8 mill breakup fee in case either party renigs, but that ain't too ...more

congrats onteh call, you were right, and  i agree this sucks.  basically WGI guys want to retire and are checking out at the expense of shareholders.  either that or they own schulyk big time.$0$0$0$0i woudlnt' be surprised if there is a competing bid, but who knows.  i mean it really sucks b/c wgi has only begun to work out all their kinks and a rerating would be in the ...more

i think most of you guys are missing the big picture.i,m sure most people would agree that ngd,s management is highly respected.they have been around for a long time.their looking out five years from now.stock markets will be stabilized and capital will be flowing once again.in my opinion this is just the start of their long term plans.a notch below yamana and kinross seems to be the plan.when you ...more

I will disagree here, I see a bigger potential now with this merger.   Seems like a perfect fit.  Now holding with more confidence.  I like it!
