Impact

A trade association representing US graphite producers filed petitions with two federal agencies on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024 after the close of business asking for investigations into whether Chinese companies are violating anti-dumping laws, accordingt to documents seen by Bloombery News.
The industry group hopes to trigger punitive tariffs of as much as 920% on Chinese graphite in response.
Now, how will that impact GRFX which has been dead in the water for the last year?

They were supposed to establish a joint venture with NGC, but in the U.S., they are viewed as a foreign entity tied to the Chinese government, specifically Nanush. Reportedly, they have withdrawn from the U.S. market because they cannot secure subsidies, which is why their stock price has dropped significantly?!
