Higher Nat.Gas Prices

Do you think these higher natural gas prices might spur a few producers into doing a little more drilling and do you think Gasfrac will benefit in any way?

Absolutely. If the gas price continues to increase there will be a lot more drilling happening for sure. What Gasfrac needs is a few Govt decisions to go their way. If just one state decided to phase out water fracking for propane, the possibilities are endless.

Neither of those things will happen. There is a massive amount of gas available and no one will ever outlaw fracing with water.

Hi wellsitter,  you seem to have a cristal ball! We are a few disasters away from just that. If you did your homework you would know that the next generation from the Haliburton's of this world will do just that, somme already reinject some of the oil pomped into the fracking to increse the well presure. The lubrifiant is à mix oil+propane, many other recipies exist. Oil exert more ...more

The large shale players (APC,CHK,COP) have all stated that they won't divert capital away from oilier plays until nat gas is well above $5 and stays there for a long amount of time. The current nat gas storage is very bullish for ng as the big players won't change their game plan for a while. Hi stag, your post misses one thing. Chenière wich own a couple of LNG port have double the rail capacity already. So, the export capacity is viable right now. For the question of the contract price of NG and LNG, this winter the reserve of about 4.5 trillion mmbtu is criticly low.
