Pure speculation on my part but perhaps the PP was a very nice defensive move by Chrs Taylor. As mentioned earlier there are no doubt entities out there who have plenty more clout than McEwen who also want a nice slice of the GBR pie and Chris gave them the opportunity to come to the party whilst at the same time raising a middle finger to RM the party pooper.
