My take on the halt: A takeover bid is in the works. They hit the motherlode Shorts had to cover GDX has put GBR in their portfolio Anyway, we need assay results!!!!!

No takeover. Not yet, anyway. Just an automatic trading halt triggered by too fast a price rise. This was due to shares being purchased to be included in GDXJ. May have been other late-day buyers jumping on board, which may have been part of GDXJ buying.
