New drill results: Putting things in context

As the NR noted:

BR-085 intersected the widest high-grade gold interval in the Dixie Limb zone to-date, assaying 10.19 g/t gold over 19.00 metres, which included 68.59 g/t gold over 2.65 metres, which in turn included 133.50 g/t gold over 1.00 metre.

Excludiing the 1m of 133.5g/t, that leaves 18m of 3.4g/t.  Not outrageous, but still acceptable.

Why exclude it if it's there though?

Not excuding it, just pointing out that there are some high grade veins, but otherwise so-so, with 3g+ in most of the orebody.  Extends the orebody though, so no complaints. It's a good exercise as sometimes companies want to make it appear that they have a large orebody but it's actually concentrated in small veins.  Learned to look at it this way from a geologist I highly ...more

I agree in part but when you look at the drill holes you pretty much see high grade veins in a high proportion of them so it is pointing towards a high grade vein system embedded in a lower grade jacket along the length of the zone we are looking at.

I dunno, but 3 gram/ton is not considered bad, is it? Think I have seen explorers that boosts about their 3 gram/ton finds, when those "veins" are 3-5 meters wide. At LP we got 3 gram/ton "everywhere" and people seem to find that a bit jaded. Strange.

Depends on what you are trying to do, if doing an open pit, large tonnage, then yes 3 GPT is substantial, easier access, lower processng costs. If you doing an underground high grade project, 3GPT is slightly better than nothing, but it is low grade and will not pay the bills. Red Lake will deliver consistently, a miss is 50+M of 2GPT followed by bonanza grades going off the charts, the key to ...more
