GBR Maiden Resource - how big?
The drilling details on the currently discovered gold at Dixie are massive in size and scope. An extremely good technical firm will be hired ( or has already been hired) to put together the maiden resource estimate for GBR at Dixie.
We already know the answer as to how big the resource is - Chris Taylor has repeatedly said - it is bigger than Barrick's Hemlo. Hemlo to date has produced 21 million ounces of gold; and it is still a big Barrick producer.
So how big is it ? That where you and I and the entire board can have some fun. Since this is a maiden resource estimate, and since nothing has been produced other than drill read outs, this is not likely to be a straight line estimate. Hemlo was this and therefore Dixie is this plus X.
Osisko Metals Windfall was recently estimated to be 7 mil oz of gold and Chris Taylor told us that Windfall was the only find that was using more drills than Dixie.
So Dixie is bigger than Hemlo and much richer than Windfall.
So my Scientific Wild A xs Guess (SWAG) is the maiden resource ( not the actual amount the mine produces) will be 15-16 Million OZ. During actual production that could grow to double that number.
Anyone want to chip in with their views?

I expext 12-15 mill oz for the resources estimate to come mining to produce double or triple time enough for my gbr shares and gbrr shares to soar still grabbing anything I can at current prices

The first RE ias always much less than one thinks. However, with this beast, who knows what it will show. No doubt it will grow in size after it has been taken over

After a cursory review of the numbers I predict the Maiden Resource will be 16,559,212 ozs gold. Roughly.

KozmoT - I looked and I think you're three, maybe four ounces off. Pretty sloppy work dude.

LOL ! On today's pop in shareprice - its great and all but hard to get too excited about breaking $15 when a year ago we hit over $19 ... but at least we're going in the right direction again.
