Chris Taylor, President and CEO of Great Bear said: “The acquisition of Great Bear by Kinross is an outstanding opportunity for our shareholders, partners at Wabauskang and Lac Seul First Nations, and the local communities of Northern Ontario.

Although we could have had Barrick or Newmount for a higher cash amount Kinross has the abilty to gain a lot of share value on top due to its smaller MC. Now it begs another question where will the two mentioned companies throw their cash pile.

Lets say they prove up 10 Moz, that would hardly move the needle for Barrick and Newmount's MC's but Kinross it would be signiifcant. GLA

Let's speculate. At $29/share, maybe the MRE will turn out to be ~5M oz.

You do have a good point re Kinross gaining in share value flashcash. It'll be interesting to see what happens to it in the near term.
