Any real chance of a bidding war?

Or is it a donde deal most likely that Kinross will steal it below $30?

Would not have minded a few more bucks, like 10 more, but what can you do?

You think Barrick will just watch this slide outta their grasp without a peep?  Why do you suggest there is no chance for a bidding war?  GBR is a long ways away from getting approval for this and I've yet to read a post from any retail investor that thinks $29 is "fair value" for the whole kit and kaboodle.

I give a 50/50 chance that Barrick makes an offer.  They had been buying surrounding property and for many it was a forgone conclusion they'd acquire GBR.  Kinross jumped in so a 10-20% Barrick premium could happen.  That being said, after the way Barrick was burned in the early 2010s by overpaying for properties, they might just remain on the sidelines.

I don't see how they could pass it up. The drilling so far has pretty much cooked in the $29. We're barely getting any future consideration for what's probably there. The risk has got to be minimal for them.
