Interesting Volume

About one million shares traded hands by noon...with a bump up to 9.93.  I had range bound my expectations to 9.80 so am pleasantly surprised by both volume and price.  However, it ain't over until the fat lady sings (4 pm).  10 might be optimistic for today, but anything above 9.80 suggests (to me) that HBC is in recovery mode.  This gain against the backdrop of a quiet (and declining) TSX is positive.  Perhaps, just like most other retail sales prices one sees in a store, we'll see 9.95;)

Looking like a strong close. Should bode well for tomorrow.

Thought about taking profit, but the volume and the strong close kept me from pulling the trigger. HBC gone up despite a down day on strong volume. If it can break above 10 watch out for a short squeeze then we could potentially see even higher prices

Indeed telladega, I expected the volume and gains would be somewhat muted due to it being a holiday in the USA.  2 million shares traded, and one penny off of 9.95 is a good thing in my mind.  I am not so sure management will make any announcements to prop up their stock.  I would expect they are seriously looking at spinning off a REIT sooner than later to protect themselves from a

I second that talladega, quite a good day indeed. I suspect tomorrow will be a big green day especially as the Americans weren't trading today. I'm guessing a 6-8% gain tomorrow, cheers.

It's been a great 2 days indeed...If you look at the data from the last 2 trading days the SP has shown a higher low and a higher high....a complete reversal of the previous week when we saw lower highs and lower lows!! Great sign of a bull move in the stock.... Though I am still down many thousands of $$ I do feel better than last week..I sense  a turn in the SP   as investors are
