Catalyst throws a flashbang into this stand-off with this offer of $10.11 for 15 mill shares..hardly a KO, but just enough of a message to BAKER et all, that you just can't steal away HBC @ $ 9.45. so make another pitch ie $12+ and everyone gets what they want. Done deal. dwdc

There won't be a deal at $12 either but it may get some realistic bids started. Catalyst is not a credible player here unless they team up with Litt and others. This could be a very long road to get a reasonably modest price, even $18....

I don't think it will be a real long road to get a reasonable offer... but the so called 9.45 per share to take company private by the few shareholders is all based on the sale of the European real estate and retail joint venture which is expected to CLOSE in the fall....we need more backers like Litt and Catalyst to prevent this from happening...many already know that retail is seeing many ...more

What you appear to be saying is that Octoberish is when the serious bida may start. I totally agee...Baker et al will not move until the European sale is complete, their plan is clearly an LBO. This may be over by mid 2020, depending on operating results of HBC going forward..
