Globe article

I was left speechless by the recent Globe article which discussed how and why the NY HBC property had lost so much value....please read it and give your take on the writer's conclusions. All imho

There are a few aspects to that article. Firstly, it argues that rents are down, so it is not surprising the value is down. But, it doesn’t touch on why the value is down by half.  Secondly, it really rejects repurposing because HBC is unlikely to abandon the building because it will want to keep Saks there.   That is why the OSC has ordered that the circular contain the instructions to ...more

Good points. Like I said earlier, where do you see prime location real-estate dropping IN NEW YORK ??!!Give us a break here.Buildings are re-purposed all the time, usually from a lower value to much higher, and you can be sure Baker has all the plans on where he sees HBC going in a few years. Not a thing wrong with that scenario and going private BUT there is when he deliberately undervalues the ...more

It's obviously a 'plant'. It's also a sign Richard the dim-witted (not lion-hearted) will try again with a low ball, albeit higher, bid. He's so daft, and believes his own nonsense, he will try to convince us again how his offer is superior and he is saving hbc shareholders from the scary public markets.
