Yeah, and in 5 years HL might raise the 2 cent dividend to 3 cents.  That is gonna get the crowd excited.  Who knows, maybe 5 years is being too aggressive a timeline?  It has taken them 100 years to get up to 2 cents. It seems that the folk that benefit the most from HL are the executives and the employees, not the shareholders!

So, as you said Heywood the ATC listing has disappeared from our accounts and who knows when HL will appear and also the Cascadia listing and symbol. In the meantime it's a nothing on this HL board although there was a news release issued July 10th announcing the closing of the arrangement followed by an Early Warning Report on July 11th which gave a few more details of the arrangement and ...more

Hi Pandora, it is a mixed bag with Hecla.  It is now water under the bridge and we have to gauge how to approach the future.  On my end, the shares appeared in my account already and what is interesting is that my basis was split 50/50 between Hecla and the placeholder slot for the Cascadia shares.  So, right off the bat practically EVERY single former ATC shareholder is instantly ...more

To be sure, having a goodly amount of HL shares is one way that Barrick increases their exposure to silver.  I"m still surprised that Barrick didn't utter a peep in the ATAC sweepstakes.  They are a cheap company, so it would've made sense that they attempted to pick off ATAC at its lows. For some reason, Barrick appears to be ceding the Yukon to the other majors.
