Hecla tried to acquire Keno HIll as early as 2007.
Explains that HL recognised Keno Hill as one of the most important silver districts.

5:00 Keno Hill Exploration
"We went from 30-50 million oz in less than a year.
This could be an extraordinarly large camp for silver.
The second thing is acquisitions.
We are clearly a company that would benefit from acquisitions that would allow us to grow dramatically.
We produced 20 million oz of silver and we would like to see that double.
We ultimately want to become an SnP 500 company.
We need more silver production and higher prices and i think we are going to see both of those."

"We're going to see higher prices to meet demand. There's huge deficits."

" Of the primary silver producers we are the third largest.
We're the ones that are the most acquisitive although we are probably the ones with the least need for acquisitions.
We're in very good shape to take action should the other company want to do something."
