Hudbay

Hudbay recently released a webcast presentation (Aug 10th) for their second quarter results where they also discuss their prospects.

Unfortunately no mention of Cold/Lost or Halo Resources. VMS Ventures joint venture is mentioned.

I'm guessing that Cold/Lost production is a no-go. Shareprice seems to support that assertion.

Unless management can pull a rabbit out of a hat, any shareprice appreciation will hinge on the next drill program this winter.

   What happened to all the drill results we have been waiting for since the spring . I never would have guessed how badly run this company was a year ago. They won`t answer any kind of comm. I thought that was illegal. Anyway Hudbay managed to lose a ton of money even at record base metal prices . Some unheard of company walked away with one of their mines . Hey Wayned,Choosing not to communicate with investors is not illegal, however, it is a very poor strategic decision, especially given that it is a public company.As long as a company makes its appropriate disclosure and its filings on time, they are in compliance.  But for the life of me, given all the different avenues of communication and the pervasiveness of social media, why Halo chooses ...more

  I think they have 3 IR firms on the go at last count. All were paid in monthly cash and shares. Buried deep in their reporting a year or so ago was a mission statement that the company would be open and transparent to all shareholders . What a cruel joke that is. I guess there is always the annual meeting but you can never organize retail shareholder and all these junior mining crooks know ...more
