Ombudsman?

https://www.ombudsman.on.ca/en/what-we-do.aspx

What We Do

The Ombudsman investigatescomplaints about services provided by the government of Ontario and itsorganizations. He also conducts systemic investigations on importantissues about government services, which can affect large numbers ofpeople. Under the Ombudsman Act,individuals as well as government officials and staff working ingovernment organizations are required to co-operate with the Ombudsmanand provide information during an investigation. Many cases brought tothe Ombudsman are resolved informally through contact with governmentministries and organizations.

When the Ombudsman identifies aproblem in how the government has treated an individual, he can reporton it and make recommendations to correct the problem for that person. He can also make recommendations to change government policies andpractices to prevent similar problems from occurring in the future andto improve the system for others.

One more follow up thought: although manipulation is difficult to prove, especially when it might originate where records are not available, and even if they are, can be masked in corporate vale, give enough rope to anyone and you never know. However, the real issue here, at this point is valuation.IMOA class action, or other favorable outcome will target this area. This is far more easily ...more
