HRG Value $4? (Comp : OAO Polymetal)

Throwing it out there...

End of last year, Nikolai Zelenski was on record saying that he believes that "Severstal Gold should be valued at a similar price to OAO Polymetal". Current market capitalisation of OAO Polymetal is $5.3B, assuming HRG to be 60% of Severstal Gold (this could be conservative as per John Helmer's article as Severstal would probably discount its other Gold assets), this works out to be $4 / share for HRG. 

Thoughts?

    I have no clue what the time frame might be but there are things happening that make me think it might be within the next couple of months.    The Q2 results should be out by mid-August and with the POG over 1200 for most of that period of time and production (I think) back close to full.........AND DGC cracking 25 bucks by the end of June..........I ...more

Well this is a static value comparison as of today, but of course it does not mean that we will realise it off the bat at IPO. The bigger point is that if there is some discount to $4 comp, then what is that for an IPO? Do we start at $2? or $3? I will probably pick a middle point between the two.

I think we will be between 1.25 and 1.50 by the time Severstahl Gold IPO's.I think HRG is worth, at the very very least, 1.25 and should be trading there...Triggers will be:- Q2 numbers (half of August)- Bissa drill results coming weeks  (end of June?)- release third party investments  (passing Royal Gold test)      ==> imminent- Prognoz bankruptcy case which could ...more
