What becomes of the shares held by minorities

This is the first time I have posted, also the first message board I've joined. I do not understand what becomes of the shares that Severstal does not control at the time of the IPO launch. I am somewhat new to this! I understand the theory of creating a company out of aquired assets  "The whole being greater than the sum of the parts"  HRG will be given a value based on the percentage of the total value of the new entity. I  assume that the sp of HRG will immediately begin trading at said value. Assumption being the Mother of all funk ups it would sure be a "calming voice in the chaos" if someone could explain this. I know no one has a crystal ball but some possible scenairios would be appreciated. It seems to be the biggest unknown variable in the equation.

I am delighted to see my shares grow ten fold. i bought in couple of years ago at .09 cents. Congratulations to me on extra money being well invested. Same to all others who had been here 2 years ago.Cheers

As you have stated No one has a crystal ball! that being said I don't know for sure what happens to the minority shares. NO ONE DOES..... but it stands to reason that given the fact HRG will make up a big portion of Severstal Gold production #'s ( approx. 1/2 considering recent PR statements have mentioned 640,000 oz. as Severstal Gold production #s for 2010)    ...more
