IPO timing

It looks like there will be no IPO of Severstal gold this year. All companies who want to do an IPO in europe this year have already announced their intention to float

what does your post mean??why can't Severstal announce their IPO coming monday or at the end of next week?how can you state that ALL companies have already announced this if they had plans for a listing?you're worse than prouditalian in trying to scare people out of their shares.

Bart,I am long in hrg shares, so not much in common with prouditalianwhat i meant:-When large IPOs happen, access to US investors is important, especially in gold-In US there is 135-day rule, which says that listing can take place no later than 135 days from the date of underlying accounts, which is around Nov 15. for Q2 numbers-The company needs to announce about 1 month prior to that in ...more

Okay Gbug, I understand where you got the idea.But since the IPO will be done in the UK  the US rules don't apply.I am not aware of any notification period in the London.Bart

if you want to market the shares to US investors, this rule applies regardless where you want to listall big ipos would have access to us investors
