Lose-lose situation

Why can they see it is a lose-lose situation?Based on Helmer's recent article, the banks value Nord Gold less than they valued it a year ago. Both sides (us and Mordy) have been losing many opportunities to employ money for other investments. The more gold price goes up the more SP we expect; thus this will prolong the situation. The more this situation prolongs, the more Mordy's reputation goes down as well as his wealth.Either we will be more patience or we will make offensive rightaway.

If they buy the rest of HRG shares at $2.50, they will pay 209.6 m shares * $(2.50 - 1.30) = $251.52 m Because they did not do that, they have been losing billions of dollars on both Nord Gold and Severstal.Have they lost their common senses or is there anything wrong in my reasons?

It doesn't make sense to me either. If they really wanted to maximize their profits long term, they would have offered even $3.00 a share and then never have to deal with another HRG minority investor again. Who wouldn't of tendered their shares for three bucks 6 months ago?

Agreed, however you overlook the fact that Mordy is Russian, and if nothing else.....self serving egotistical meglomaniac suffering from deluions of grandeur!  King Lear at it's bestWhat other country has a Puntin who thinks he is 007.....where does that leave Mordy?Cj
