Nordgold May Allow Holders in Unit a Swap for Shar

Nord trading at 7.40

would be interesting to see how many shares of HRG we have to give to receive one of Nord.

I would guess 3.5 HRG for 1 Nord Gold...
Anyone else have an opinion?

Curious about the opening today...

Nordgold May Allow Holders in Unit a Swap for Shares in Parent

By Ilya Khrennikov
Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Nordgold NV, Russian billionaire
Alexey Mordashov’s gold miner, may offer minority shareholders
of its Toronto-listed subsidiary the chance to swap shares for
the parent company’s stock.
Nordgold, which was spun off from steelmaker OAO Severstal
last month, doesn’t exclude offering minorities in its
subsidiary High River Gold Mines Ltd. the opportunity to swap
shares into Nordgold’s stock, spokesman Sergei Loktionov said by
telephone, citing remarks made by Chief Executive Officer
Nikolai Zelenski to reporters earlier today.
This is one of the options being discussed under a plan to
boost trading volumes of Nordgold’s depositary receipts in
London, Loktionov said. There are no detailed talks or terms
yet, he added.

Screw THAT. To go from being a minority is one of his companies where we are lied to and cheated and asked to go to another.  No friggen way.  We OWN BISSA and 50% of PROGNOZ Here's a better thought.  We will give up 20% of shares to have Nord join us.  Why do we want them?

This is a long about way to trick us so he can get our shares, consolidate and then take us over.  He can then issue more shares in Nord, buy them his self cheap and then we are now minorities in Nord of less than 10% and he takes Nord PRIVATE with HRG in it. DO NOT CONSIDER IT.  He is a liar and I'll take $4 per share for HRG thank you.

This looks like a good deal to me. Correct me if i am wrong but here is over simplified math using your example of 3.5 to 1. I would prefer an even better ratio but its not that bad the way i see it. I didn't do any currency conversion because the USD and CAD are so close to parity right now.   example with HRG at 1.24 and Nord at 7.40 Currently own 1000 shares of HRG = $1,240.00 1000HRG ...more
