The miner noted that it would not generate sufficient cash from operations to fully fund its planned investment

We kind of knew that hence the money from New Gold as stated March 24th 2021
They made the May 14th news release sound so bad but overall it wasn't all that bad.....Horse Hockey

Why sell now at the low with gold prices pushing past 1900$C?? Fully understand your frustration, if gold price was moving downward I would do same. Still a total disaster.

I sold off 80k in shares at 16.5 and bought it back at 10.5. This company is managed by borderline fraudulent means but the ozs in the ground will result in a buyout eventually. I can't imagine New Gold isn't looking at the $2500 aisc and thinking they can shave several hundred dollars off if they takeout.

They could shave off more than a couple of hundred If they can get to 1200 tpd in short order.Certain costs are fixed and when economies of scale kick in the aisc goes down.Until then it's a hard slog and with the black cloud of debt who knows what is going to happen.Someone will walk in and steal this gem for a song.Hard to believe it's a producing mine with such a low market cap.Frazer ...more
